These watches have plenty eye candy appeal however they are not designed for harsh environments. I own several watches; my favourite being a Rolex Air King which I’ve had for thirteen years and worn at least 70% of that time as opposed to the others. At 10-20 times the price of the other watches you expect something much better and with 13 years in heavy engineering it still looks new while a couple of the others haven’t survived. The point is this: Truwood’s watches are great to look at out of the very well made presentation box and will make fantastic, talking point gifts but I won’t be wearing mine to work. However, and having said this, I love wearing it on social occasions and it does raise an eyebrow when you announce that it’s a wooden watch. And that’s just it - it’s a wooden watch. I got BOGOF on my purchase which I think represented reasonable value for money whereas I paid £2600\$3500 for Rolex which I also believe to be reasonable value for money. Point being the watch makes an excellent gift and scores 10/10 but for every day use in manual labour I think it’s days would be numbered. Office environment? It would probably fair better. Also, it should be known that only the internal movement is guaranteed for 1 year so if everything else falls apart and the hands keep turning there’s no redress. I hope this is seen as a balanced review based on experience
